About Midway Electronics
Midway Electronics Inc was founded in 1956 as the premier land mobile radio company in north west Indiana. In early 1960s Midway began building communication towers for its land mobile radio infrastructure which led to building communication towers for its customers. In the 1980s Midway began building wireless data radios for serial SCADA applications. The 1990’s saw the wireless communication business begin shifting to Ethernet data.
As 2000 came, Midway’s core business developed into wireless data network communication and infrastructure. Midway started MidwayNet early in the new decade and it has become one of the largest wireless internet service providers in north west Indiana.
In 2020 Midway partnered with the world’s leading microwave systems engineering company to bring the FAS Wireless licensed microwave and mmWave platform to our clients.
